The Early Age Nithesh was just 8 years old when he started learning martial arts. This 3 rd grade student kept his first martial art step in the year 2001 into the Traditional Indian Karate school known as the’ Self Defence School of Indian Karate’ which was fine blend of ancient Indian martial art ‘Kalaripayattu’ and the ‘Judo’ by Founder-Grandmaster Sri. B. M. Narasimhan. Nithesh showed very great interest in this art and practiced hard putting his heart and soul into this beautiful art under the guidance of his first karate Guru Chandrahas Anchan, 4 th Degree Black Belt who is one of the finest instructors till date. Nithesh continued till Green Belt in Indian Karate and was given a strong base of karate by his guru. Nithesh was about 17 years old when he met Balkrishna Shetty a.k.a Bala ‘The Tulunad Warrior’ Shetty[8 times undisputed National Muay Thai Champion, 2006 to 2013 and a ONE FC Fighter] in one of the amateur mixed martial art tournaments in Mumbai. This is where the real journey of the fighter began when he dropped education and decided to take the path of a warrior i.e., to become a professional fighter.
The thirst for knowledge did not stop Nithesh at karate but also explored other martial arts like Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. He moved to Mumbai to train with Balkrishna Shetty in Muaythai and MMA. He also took up Boxing training with India Coach Mr. Jeswant Singh at the Sports Authority of India, Kandiveli and excelled in this art simultaneously training in Muaythai and MMA with Bala in the same arena for 2 years. With the bundle of knowledge it was time to imply and execute which lead Nithesh Chandra, National Muaythai Champion 2015 and Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) fighter along with his brother Manish Acharya, National Karate Champion and Pranic Healing practitioner to fuse their martial arts experiences and creative ideas giving birth to the most unique and finest Mixed Martial Arts training center, ‘ Monkey Mayhem Fight Club ’ at Kankanady, Mangalore on 19 th of August, 2014.
